Bob Ross original artwork and paintings

A native of Orlando, Florida,  Ross had a 10-year career in the U.S. Air Force keeping medical records.  Ross was living in Florida early in his military career when the Air Force transferred him to Eielson AFB (in Alaska), where he first saw the snow and mountains that later became recurring themes in his artwork; he developed his quick-painting technique in order to be able to create art for sale in brief daily work breaks.  Having held military positions that required him to be, in his own words, "mean" and "tough," "the guy who makes you scrub the latrine, the guy who makes you make your bed, the guy who screams at you for being late to work," Ross decided that if he ever moved on from the military, "it wasn't going to be that way any more," "vowing never to scream again". Ross discovered after beginning his sideline in painting that he was soon able to earn more from selling his work than from his Air Force position. After leaving the Air Force, he studied with Bill Alexander before becoming famous worldwide with his own television program.

Bob Ross had a son, Steven, from his first marriage to Lydia. Steven occasionally appeared on The Joy of Painting and is a Bob Ross–certified instructor. Ross and Lydia's marriage ended in divorce in 1981. Ross married again, this time to Jane. Jane died of cancer in 1993, and Ross himself died of lymphoma in 1995 at the age of 52.

Leonardo Nierman the Artists and his Art

LEONARDO NIERMAN: B. 1932 - Mexican Artist Leonardo Nierman's paintings vibrantly come to life as they capture the intensity and spontaneity of the dynamic forces that rule both nature and the cosmos. With swirling whirlpools of color, darting flame-like wisps, and brilliant hues as dazzling as a sun, they are dramatic in their representation of that which is unchallenged, though perhaps not quite understood. Leonardo Nierman's full career includes numerous distinctions, awards, and exhibitions. He has painted murals for the School of Commerce of the University City in Mexico,1956; the "Golden West Savings" in San Francisco, 1965; and the Princeton University Physics Building,1969. Alexandra Nechita the artist and some original works by Nechita

Alexandra Nechita was born in 1985 and began drawing at the age of two. At seven, she was painting with oils and acrylics, and her first exhibit was a one-woman show held at a Los Angeles public library when she was just eight years old. Alexandra's talent was instantly recognized as crowds came to see her amazing and often monumental paintings. After seeing her art, the press labeled her "The Petite Picasso." Alexandra attracted the attention of art critics and media who began telling the world about this rarest of child prodigies - an artist who had mastered drawing and color, an artist who had created a visual language of her own, in a unique, lyrical, figurative, abstract cubist manner, an artist who had only recently turned nine years old. By age ten, she was producing strikingly accomplished canvases, which were easily compared to the work of talented, fully mature artists. Her works have a developed artistic personality, highly sophisticated and fully alive to the nuances and possibilities of her medium. Below you will find some Alexandra Nechita works.

Marcel Mouly the artists and works available

1918-2008 - Artist Marcel Mouly, born in Paris in 1918, is heavily influenced by the work of Picasso, Matisse, and Braque. He studied painting at the French Academies and later became the protogé of the sculptor Jacques Lipchitz, from whom he learned about Cubism. He won the Chevalier de l'Order des Artes et Letteres in 1957, and the Premier Prix de Lithographie in 1973. Mouly has exhibited all over the world and he currently has paintings hanging in the Musee Nationale d' Art Moderne, Paris, the Musée de Geneve and the Bibliotheque Nationale, Paris. Sadly Marcel Mouly passed away on Jan 7th, 2008.

Joan Miro original artwork

JOAN MIRO:  1893-1983 - Spanish Artist Joan Miro studied art at the Barcelona School of Fine Arts and at the Academia Gali. Miro worked as an accountant for nearly two years until he had a nervous breakdown. In the beginning of his career he dabbled in different painting styles that were fashionable at the turn of the century like Fauvism and Cubism. In 1920 Miro made the first of a series of trips to Paris. In 1921 he settled permanently in the French capital. From 1924 on, Miro joined the circle of the Surrealist theorist Andre Breton. By 1930 the artist had developed his own style and in the 1930s the artist's fame and recognition became international. From 1940 to 1948 he was back in Spain. In 1947, Joan Miro came to the United States for the first time. He had several own-man shows. The most important one was a retrospective at the MoMA - The Museum of Modern Art in New York in 1951 and in 1959. In 1954 he won a prize at the Venice Biennale. In 1968 the artist finished a commission for two large ceramic murals at the UNESCO buildings in Paris. Miro was a disciplined, hard working and modest man. He was a dedicated printmaker and his works are highly sought after
